Kiruna, Sweden — On the night of 26 July, Glint-1 flashed once over northern Europe. More than forty-one thousand people reported seeing it, most of them on their way home, on a balcony or in a field.

Each of them saw a different flash: a different angle, different company, a different reason to be looking up. That is the work. Glint-1 is only a mirror on an octet truss. The concrete situations belong to the people who were there.

“We didn't make it happen. We made it possible for it to happen, and then we waited.”
— From the obxium field manual
